What Can I Expect?

When you walk into a new church, sometimes you never know what to expect. People come from all different backgrounds, traditions, and preferences, and the variety of churches reflects that.

Our goal is not to try to meet everyone's tastes, but rather to be the church God has called us to be. With that in mind, we are probably closer to what most people would consider a "traditional baptist church."

What is the worship style at Central Baptist?

We would label our worship a traditional blend.
This means we sing the great hymns of the faith along with choruses and modern hymns.

What should I wear?

Our people dress all across the spectrum, from jeans and t-shirts to suits and ties.
Honestly, we are more concerned with you being here rather than what you're wearing,
but our best suggestion would be to dress like you're going to a nice dinner.

Will I be pointed out or embarrassed as a visitor?

We will try to meet you when you arrive to get to know you better. Please introduce yourself
to one of our greeters as a first-time visitor so we can provide more information along with a free gift!
We promise that we will NEVER ask you to stand up in service or do anything to embarrass you!

Is there anything I should bring with me?

Honestly, you don't need to bring anything with you! We will spend most of our time in service in
the Scriptures, so if you have a Bible, you will want to bring it with you. If you don't have a Bible,
but would like one, please say something to us and we would be glad to provide one for you at no charge!
